One of our favourite spots in the area! We’ve been a few times now – the food is always on point and the owner, Aneal, is attentive and friendly. Fair warning: the spice can be serious, but if you can handle the heat the flavours are so worth it!

All you need to know is that Aneal’s has the best mac pie you’ll ever have in your life. It’s the best in the city and worth every penny. Great portions. Delicious flavour. The only downside is that there is only one location and it’s all the way in Richmond Hill. It’s definitely worth the trip though. Go right now!!!

We ordered Mac pie combo with Jerk chicken and ox stew, it was really delicious!!! It became the best Jamaican spot to me. Definitely worth the drive to give it a try.

Ordered a large Jerk chicken, rice was cooked but not too soft or moist, coleslaw was fresh but not drenched in liquid as it can typically be, jerk chicken was moist, tender and fell off the bone, very flavorful but not swimming in sauce, just be careful about the hot sauce, it has great flavor but it was way beyond my skill level. Food came out quick, and owner was very polite and made great conversation. Tables were clean and tidy. Will absolutely be visiting frequently.

Overall pretty good food and experience, no issues with seating. Food has more of a Trinidadian influence rather than Jamaican. We ordered the stew oxtail, curried goat, curried chicken roti, and macaroni pie with BBQ chicken. The rice was deliciously seasoned, and the creamy coleslaw was excellent. The oxtail had fantastic flavor, though the pieces were cut quite small. The curried goat was good but not as tender as I prefer. The BBQ chicken was the standout—moist, flavorful, and slathered in BBQ sauce. The macaroni pie and chicken roti were a bit dry for my taste; I personally prefer more sauce. My husband really liked the wild boar. The food was served in about 15 minutes- very reasonable. The owner himself served us, and he was incredibly friendly. However, I do wish he had mentioned the 2.4% credit card fee in advance.

The food is amazing. We tried the jerk chicken with macaroni and cheese and curry chicken roti. The jerk chicken was very flavourful, 9/10, the only difference might be chicken in Jamaica would be smoked with pimento wood. But this is as good as it can get here so no complaints whatsoever. Now move on to the mac and cheese, I’m not a big fan of mac and cheese but this is the best I have had in a long while. The coleslaw was also fresh and creamy. The roti was awesome. Also had the honour to try some curried goat and some pork and they were both very nice. I’m so happy to have found a place that I can return many times. And by the way, when they say spicy, they mean it, it’s proper proper habanero spicy. In my opinion it could be even better with a bit more sweet and sour elements to it. But it is very good as it is. The music in the store is also Jamaican jam and the volume is just right. Unlike some that is way too loud, this makes you feel like you are on an island while you can still have a conversation. Very nice.

I got the Mac n Cheese combo with jerk chicken, BBQ chicken, and Ox tail. I love how the chicken were so tender and not dry. The chicken were super flavorful, but I still felt it lack something for a jerk chicken. The oxtail I felt it was a little hard/dry. The coleslaw was good, but felt it was lacking something, maybe more acidity. The portions were very good. Service was good, they brought the food to our table which I was not expecting, but very happy since we ordered quite a bit.
