Pathfinder Pet Care & Dog Ranch

Chantale and her team took extraordinary care of Frankie girl while we attended urgent and last minute family matters in Richmond. Chantale was very accommodating and flexible with our schedules. Frankie came home happy, healthy and exhausted and we were worry free! Truly knowledgeable and professional staff. We will undoubtedly be using these services again in the future and recommend anyone with a dog to do the same 🐾

Five Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our dog, Scout, had never stayed at a boarding facility before, she’s a four-year-old standard poodle who at first can be anxious and unsure in new situations. From day one, Chantale and her team at Pathfinder Dog Ranch and Pet Care went above and beyond. They immediately picked up on Scout’s insecurities and gave her the extra time, attention, and one-on-one care she needed to feel safe and loved. Their kindness and understanding made all the difference. Because of this Scout eventually settled in and was running around with the other dogs, playing, and clearly having fun. She spent 3 nights at Pathfinder Dog Ranch and Chantale even video called us on WhatsApp during our trip to give us an update and show us how Scout was doing, and she sent a photo of Scout resting next to a staff member who was petting her. These thoughtful updates gave us peace of mind. We felt confident that Scout was in good hands. Chantale runs an amazing, well-organized operation with genuine care and attention to detail. I would not hesitate to recommend Pathfinder to anyone looking for a safe and loving place for their dog. A big thank you to Chantale and her kind and caring crew of staff at Pathfinder Dog Ranch, see you next summer!

**Updated to 5 stars from previous 4!** Overall, I really like bringing my pups here—and more importantly, *they* love it too! I’ve got two huskies, and the moment we hit the speed bumps on the road nearby, they start losing their fluff in excitement knowing we’re almost there. We’ve used this team for everything from long trips abroad (like a stay while we were in Japan) to weekend staycations and regular doggie day camp. Most recently, we tried the new micro bubble bath and brush service—fantastic experience! Both of my dogs had a little itching in the 24 hours after (likely from loose fur continuing to work itself out), but the brushing was incredibly thorough and made a big difference. Our vacuum can definitely confirm that! Also really appreciated how clean they stayed during their visit, especially our white girl—keeping her pristine on a muddy day is no small feat. The staff are always great, and I feel confident leaving my dogs in their care. The location is also easy to find and tucked on a quiet road, which means no overstimulation from traffic or city noise. Highly recommend!

We have been with Pathfinder Dog Ranch for a few years now and are so happy with the facilities and the service provided by Chantale and her team. We always feel peace of mind and know he is well taken care of. He can’t wait to go and loves the exercise and hanging out with his friends .:) I strongly recommend Pathfinder Dog Ranch!

We love Pathfinders! We can tell that Chantale and her staff love the animals they care for and really listen to pet owners. We have a sensitive dog that does not like too much change, but she always comes home calm, happy and rested after short and long stays. We have tried other boarding facilities, but very few of them have seemed to care about our dog's sensitivities. We trust Chantale 100% with caring for our dog and would not board anywhere else. I highly recommend this boarding facility if you want your pet to be looked after by kind, loving, professionals.

I love Pathfinders Dog Ranch, Chantal and her staff. My dog Henry has gone there since they opened for daycare and boarding. Henry LOVES it and I feel so at ease leaving him as I know he is so well looked after. Once when he was boarding, he had a serious medical issue and Chantal was on it and made sure he received the proper medical care he needed. Kimberly is so awesome too, Henry just gets so excited when he sees her! Highly recommend this company.

Our dog has been attending both daycare and boarding at the ranch for over three years, and our experience has been fantastic. We are indebted to Chantale and her team and thank our lucky stars we have the Pathfinder team in our life. Here are a couple of pics of Cooper the ranch.
